Jam-Packed Nairobi Itinerary
I did my entire Kenya trip in 5 days! Yes, I flew over 20 hours and 8,000 miles to experience Kenya on a Monday-Friday timeframe.
Obviously, I do not recommend doing that. It was a little too adventurous, and I’m still exhausted!
Please spend more time in Kenya than a work week and explore outside of Nairobi if you can.
But for this post, we will focus on Kenya’s capital city plus an excellent bonus excursion so you can see Mt. Kilimanjaro, weather permitting!
Let’s get into it!

Nairobi
Nairobi, the capital and largest city in Kenya, is a city of unique pride and excitement. At an elevation of 1,795 m (5,889 ft), it enjoys a temperate climate year-round.
Its strategic location has earned it the prestigious title of the world’s wildlife capital. With its unique blend of bustling city life and beautiful landscapes, Nairobi is a city you should definitely visit.

Four Must-Do Excursions in Nairobi
After settling into your Nairobi accommodation, it’s time to start planning your adventure in this vibrant city.
I’ve curated a diverse list of four fantastic excursions I completed during my trip, each offering a unique experience. Get ready for an unforgettable journey in Nairobi!
And, of course, I will provide links to booking for those of you eager to get there!

Nairobi Nightlife and Safari Park Hotel Dinner Experience
Experience the true essence of Nairobi with advanced reservations at the city’s premier dinner and cultural show at the authentic Safari Park Hotel.
Immerse yourself in the local culture with vibrant acrobatic performances, live music from Swahili acts, and a traditional Kenyan dinner featuring barbecued meat and jacket potatoes.

Nairobi National Park Safari Tour
Embark on an unforgettable adventure with a close-up wildlife safari experience at the edge of Nairobi.
Enjoy a Nairobi National Park game drive in an open-top vehicle. This will allow you to get up close and personal with the stunning roaming wildlife.
Private Nairobi City Tour
Skip the taxis and public transport and opt for the convenience of a private guide and driver who will pick you up from your hotel and help you explore Nairobi’s main attractions, including the famous Kenyatta International Conference Center, which offers breathtaking panoramic views of the entire city!
You’ll also get the opportunity to feed a giraffe if you’d like!

Amboseli Park and Kilimajaro Views Tour
Although about a three-hour drive from Nairobi, the tour still offers hotel pickup from your accommodation to bring you to a beautiful safari park situated at the foothills of the rooftop of Africa, Mt. Kilimanjaro!
Final Thoughts on Nairobi, Kenya
I do not doubt these excursions will give you a thrilling experience in Nairobi. And although I did provide one recommendation outside of Kenya’s capital city, Kenya is a large and diverse country with plenty to do.
There’s still Mombasa, Kenya’s second-largest city and vital port on the Indian Ocean.
There’s Massai Mara, a national reserve and wildlife conservation center offering a spectacular safari experience.
There’s Machakos, an area ideal for travelers who love to camp and hike.Â
As you can see, Kenya has so much to offer, and I will do it justice by returning a second time for a more detailed trip.
